We participated in the creation of a new humanitarian campaign by the Women's Fund of the SOLIDARNA Foundation, aimed at securing financial resources to assist women and children who have survived domestic or sexual violence.
The statistics are frightening. Every third woman in Croatia has experienced some form of violence. For every reported case of domestic violence, there are 10 unreported, and it takes, on average, 6 years and 7 returns to the abuser before a woman truly leaves the violent relationship. Financial dependence is one of the main reasons why women often feel compelled to return to their abuser. The Women's Fund of the SOLIDARNA Foundation provides them with direct financial support, enabling them to start a new life free from violence. But, unfortunately, the resources are never enough.
